We are seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join the busy Cash Office of a well-established law firm on the outskirts of Coventry. 

This is a busy and varied role which will involve:

• Checking and processing cheques
• Processing BACS and Chaps payments, ensuring compliance with Anti Money Laundering Regulations
• Checking and processing invoices and assist with maintaining the purchase ledger
• Reconciliation of client account and petty cash
• Preparation of daily banking
• Assisting with the Land Registry and Search Disbursement reconciliation
• Checking and processing of staff expense claims
• Ad hoc duties as required by the Financial Controller
• Assisting with resolving Residual Client Balances
• Recording SAR breaches and report to COFA 

Suitable Candidates will have:

• A sound understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules
• Experience of bank reconciliation, banking, petty cash and purchase ledger work
• Experience of Cash Office processes, transactions and terminology within a law firm
• Experience of using a legal case management system
• Proficiency in Word, Outlook and Excel
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• The ability to work well as part of a team

This is a permanent job which is fully office based, working 9am to 5.15pm Monday to Friday.
