Paralegal – Commercial Property and Company Commercial
Coventry City Centre with hybrid working following probation/training
Salary £25,000 to £30,000 commensurate with experience and qualifications
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to support a busy Commercial team of a forward-thinking, award-winning, expanding law firm at their office in Coventry city centre.
Paid parking is available. Hybrid working may be accommodated, following an initial probation/training period.

Training contracts will genuinely be considered for eligible employees in the longer term. SQE and CILEx training may also be accommodated.
The position will involve:
- Covering a broad spectrum of commercial work; predominantly within commercial property, but also dealing with general company commercial matters
- Assisting with landlord and tenant matters, acquisitions and disposals, development, sale and purchase contracts etc. for predominantly private commercial sector clients
- Dealing with title issues and other due diligence
- Preparing legal documents relating to commercial property transactions such as sale/purchase contracts, leases, licences to assign, rent deposit deeds
- Bundling of key documents and assisting with report writing to clients
- Liaising with clients by telephone, email and face to face
- Taking accurate instructions and using initiative to action instructions on behalf of the team
This is a support role, leading to a fee earning position in the longer term. Fee-earning duties, however, can be included in the role for candidates with the relevant fee-earning experience and this will be reflected in the commencement salary.
Suitable candidates will have
- Around 2 years’+ experience of either residential conveyancing or commercial property work (essential)
- Experience of company commercial work within a law firm (preferred but not essential)
- Good time management, organisation and attention to detail
- A law degree
- Ideally LPC/LLM (preferred but not essential)
- Ideally experience of working for a Lexcel accredited law firm
- A sound understanding of the commercial property conveyancing process
Candidates must be local to Coventry, within an easily commutable distance, and be able to demonstrate longevity in their employment history.
