Edgbaston – Salary up to £20,820 per annum

We are working in partnership with a well-established national law firm, who have a brand new opportunity for an apprentice to join their accounts team at their head office in Edgbaston as an Apprentice Legal Cashier. This is a fantastic chance for those who are seeking an apprenticeship within a legal environment. Candidates must be actively registered with an apprenticeship scheme, however, the firm are also able to recommend a scheme for any candidates wishing to pursue an apprenticeship within a law firm.

The firm are Lexcel accredited, employing over 450 staff in their growing network of offices throughout the UK. 

The role will involve:

• Performing bank reconciliation(training is provided)
• Dealing with ad hoc queries presented to the team via MS Outlook
• Possess high levels of speed and accuracy
• Have a good telephone manner and be comfortable speaking with clients on the telephone
• Checking bills for unpaid disbursements.
• Month end processing.
• Support colleagues as required
• Client and Office account cheque reconciliations.
• Any other duties as required

Suitable candidates will possess the following:

• GCSE or equivalent English and Maths
• Excellent maths skills and a good attention to detail
• Confident and polite telephone manner
• Ability to work independently, efficiently and use initiative
• Good planning and organisational skills
• Previous experience working in a legal office would be an advantage

This is a full time office-based permanent job working 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
