Looking for: A permanent role in Personal Injury or Clinical Negligence. Min salary £50k. Hybrid working pattern, ideally with 3 days home working per week
Experience:
Current: Solicitor – Casualty
- Handling a caseload of fast/multi track EL/PL claims including occupiers’ liability, workplace and the public sector
- Reviewing pleadings
- Liaising with client’s and witnesses
- Drafting pleadings and statements and updating clients regarding progress
- Assisting on social care cases, reviewing large volumes of documents, preparing them for disclosure to other parties in litigation, and reporting on liability, value and tactics.
Previous:
Litigation Executive, Occupational Disease
- Handling a range of litigated files which were predominantly noise induced hearing loss
- Handling around 50 litigated files for top rated leading insurers.
EL/PL/Disease Liability Adjuster
- Managing a caseload of around 150 pre-Litigated disease claims, including noise induced hearing loss, hand arm vibration syndrome, work related limb disorders, asbestosis, work related stress and occupational asthma, from notification through to settlement on behalf of a leading insurer
- Assisting with EL/PL claims on behalf of a leading UK energy company which involved setting up new claims, managing reserves, investigating corporate histories/entities, carrying out research, liaising with Claimant Solicitors/Co-Insurers/Co-Defendants and Clients either via the telephone or through written correspondence
- Negotiating apportionment for co-insurers/co-defendants
