Private Family Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary

Leamington Spa

up to £25k + benefits

We are working with a leading Lexcel accredited law firm who are looking for an experienced Family Legal Assistant or Family Legal Secretary to join their busy team in Leamington Spa. 

The role will involve:

  • Providing administration support to Fee Earners in the Private Family team
  • Liaising with clients by telephone, email, and face to face
  • Making appointments for clients
  • Carrying out conflict checks                
  • Locating files for next day’s appointments
  • Preparing case files for court hearings
  • Providing reception cover during absences when required
  • Preparing monthly invoices and cost-scheduling for clients 

Suitable Candidates will have:

  • Previous, up to date experience supporting a Family Law department
  • A positive approach to customer service
  • Good IT skills – proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience of using a legal case management system
  • The ability to demonstrate empathy and professionalism when dealing with with sensitive, sometimes difficult, situations.
  • A polite and patient manner and a flexible approach to work

This is a full-time permanent job working 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
