Leamington Spa 

c£45,000 per annum (negotiable) dependent on experience

This is a key, business-critical, autonomous role, working closely with directors, department heads and other stakeholders of this leading, multi office, well-established law firm, where you’ll be providing significant input into the ongoing success of the business.

This a regional role, based in Leamington Spa, with travel to other offices.  

The role will involve:

  • Providing technical and administrative compliance support to the business network
  • Auditing of the firm’s policies and procedures, recommending change and improvements 
  • Reviewing files, procedures, and records for all offices
  • Amending policies, communicating amendments to the business network and updating the office manual
  • Management of annual Lexcel and CQS audits, ensuring the firm is prepared across all areas for compliance
  • Attending all offices to support and assist with compliance
  • Analysing complaints and risks and feeding back to the directors
  • Setting up online compliance training to support staff training and CPD requirements
  • Ensuring staff training records are recorded  
  • Uploading and distributing new training courses
  • Working alongside staff to investigate service complaints and preparing responses 
  • Ensuring complaints are followed up and progressed 

Suitable candidates will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a compliance role, gained working in a Lexcel and CQS accredited law firm
  • Experience of handling complaints 
  • Technical competency in relation to regulatory requirements
  • Understanding of Lexcel requirements preferred
  • Knowledge of SRA Regulations and Standards 2019 and codes of conduct 
  • Awareness of SRA Accounts Rules 
  • A full UK driving licence and use of own car

This is a full-time permanent job working 35 hours per week Monday to Friday.
