Location: Coventry, with hybrid working

Salary: Negotiable, commensurate with experience (up to £65,000 per annum as a benchmark)

We are working with a fabulous, well-established, Lexcel accredited law firm who are looking to attract an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join their senior management team in this crucial senior role, leading their busy, highly successful Private Client Team over two locations. 

This role would suit an experienced Solicitor, Associate or Senior Associate, looking to progress their career to a Head of Department position, or an existing Head of Department or Team Leader who is looking to move to into an autonomous role with a forward-thinking, well-established high-street firm. 

The role will involve:

  • Managing the Private Client Department and supervising staff
  • Planning and implementing the Private Client Department’s strategy, as part of the Senior Management Team
  • Recruitment, training and development of staff, conducting appraisals and managing team billing targets
  • Managing a private client caseload
  • Advising clients in relation to Wills, Trusts, LPAs, Probate, Administration of Estates, taxation and applications to the Court of Protection for Deputyship Orders 
  • Drafting and preparing legal documents 
  • Attending networking events and building external relationships

Suitable candidates will have:

  • Fully qualified status (solicitor or FCILEx) 
  • 5 or more years’ experience within Private Client to include wills, trusts, probate, LPA’s, IHT and Court of Protection matters
  • Experience of /ability to mentor and supervise other staff/colleagues
  • The ability to work collaboratively both with colleagues and with the management team

This is a permanent job, working full time Monday to Friday, however reduced/flexible hours will also be considered.
