Commercial Property Paralegal
Coventry / Hybrid
Salary up to circa £28,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications
We are working with an award-winning, Lexcel accredited, Legal 500-listed law firm who are seeking an experienced Commercial Property Paralegal to support their busy Commercial Property team at their modern offices in Coventry.
The role involves:
- Providing a high standard of support to the lawyers in the Commercial Property department
- Liaising with clients and third party professionals
- Taking new client instructions
- Using a legal case management system
- Drafting/typing of correspondence and legal documents e.g. leases, transfers, deeds and agreements
- Dealing with the progression of files
- Reviewing title and searches and raising enquires
- Preparing and submitting SDLT forms
- Preparing and submitting applications to the Land Registry
- Liaising with existing and potential clients, and business contacts in a professional manner
- Dealing with filing, storage and retrieval of client’s files, title deeds and other documents
Suitable candidates will have:
- Previous experience of supporting a Commercial Property department within a law firm as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant or a Legal Secretary
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and manage time effectively
- Excellent organisational skills
- Previous experience of using a case management system
This is a full time, permanent job. Hybrid working will be considered 2 days per week, however flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the business.
